Check out the talk I gave at last week’s screening of “Great Actresses of the Past,” at LA’s Central Library. I spoke about Réjane and O Réjane, and briefly introduced another of the greats, Minnie Maddern Fiske. I was lucky to be joined by Peter Rader, author of an upcoming book on Bernhardt and Duse, so he introduced them and their legendary rivalry. The silent film was accompanied beautifully by improv pianist Eric Schackne, whom I met briefly eons ago at iO West. Many, many thanks to Christina Rice and Jim Sherman at the Central Library for organizing the event.
If you are attending my talk & the screening of Great Actresses of the Past today, here is the transportational scoop.
